Beech avenue
You’d never know it from the picture but this is very close to the car park. One of my favourite ambles back to the car.
Sunrise in the forest
I know I should be grateful to the dog for getting me up this early on a winter’s morning…
Teeny tiny mushroom in moss
Teeny tiny mushroom in moss.
Teeny tiny mushroom in moss
Yup, it’s that small. That is moss, not some huge architectural plant.
Smokey sunset
It wasn’t really smoke, honest, it’s just the way the light was.
Sunny sunset
So there I was putting fresh gravel down on the drive and and this sunset happened. Spectacular, but slightly distracting from the task at hand.
‘Seashell’ fungi
Again, with the probably not being true fungi, but who cares when they look like the growth rings on seashells?
Weird squiggly tree fungus
No doubt my Biologist son will tell me that it isn’t a true fungus at all, but something else with an incomprehensible name, but it’s a squiggly thing I found growing on a fallen tree trunk.
Autumn berries
Walking the dog in the forest in the rain had some compensations – having spotted these berries I checked in on them from time to time, but they ever looked as good as when I first saw them.
