Wild Orchid

Wild Orchid

The bluebells in the woods are well and truly over and it’s wild orchid season now. I’ve noticed that these two wild flowers tend to live in separate areas, with a No Man’s Land between their domains were you can find the occasional specimen of each but neither really flourishing.

  1. What a stunning flower, Laura. I’ve never seen a wild orchid, but I must admit, I think I prefer them to the fancy-pants expensive ones. So many blossoms to adore!

They are lovely, it’s a particularly good year for them. Definitely an incentive to explore every corner of the woods in case there’s another colony around the next bend or along the side paths.
